CoverStock ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: When you sign up, we collect your full name, email address, phone number, and date of birth. Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Transaction data: We store records of your cover purchases and resale activity. Device data: We may collect push notification tokens to send you relevant alerts. We do not track your location.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: process and deliver your ticket purchases; operate the resale marketplace; send you notifications about purchases, resale activity, and bars you follow; prevent fraud and maintain platform security; and communicate with you about your account.
3. Information We Share
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with: Stripe — to process payments securely. Bar venues — when you purchase a cover, the bar receives your name for check-in purposes only. Law enforcement — if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
4. Push Notifications
If you grant permission, we send push notifications for purchase confirmations, resale activity, and new covers from bars you follow. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Transaction records are retained for a minimum of 7 years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@thecoverstock.com.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data.
8. Children's Privacy
CoverStock is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
